Excellence in Research Australia

Our research at the University of South Australia (UniSA) is underpinned by a fundamental commitment to excellence and is recognised on the world stage. We are committed to cutting-edge research and attracting the best and brightest minds from around the world to come and make the most of our outstanding facilities and research environment.

Led by the Australian Research Council, Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) is the national research evaluation framework. ERA identifies research excellence by providing a comprehensive quality assessment of all research produced by Australian higher education institutions against both national and international benchmarks.

In 2015, 97% of UniSA’s assessed research was at or above world-class. All four of the University's academic divisions are represented in the top-tier rankings, with a mix of traditional and emerging disciplines, demonstrating the remarkable growth trajectory of UniSA as a young, but significant research institution.

We are extremely proud of this recognition, having produced high-level research that has the potential to make a difference both locally and abroad.
